For this challenge new blocks were created by merging a block from the EQ Contemporary Pieced Library with an Appliqué Block using the Serendipity > Merge tool.
Here a Hawaiian Fleur de Lis appliqué block was merged with the Twisted Log Cabin 7′s block. The resulting new Twisted 7 block, was set in a 4×4 Horizontal layout, and by flipping alternating blocks an interesting secondary pattern emerged.
