Continuing with the theme but in a completely different way this quilt uses the progression in the number of elements in each of the featured blocks as follows: embroidered block with 1 single orchid, photo block with 1 single close up orchid, embroidered block with 2 orchids, photo block with 3 orchids, photo block with 5 orchids, embroidered block with a spray of 8 orchids.
With more time I probably would have designed at least one block using appliquéd motifs instead of one of the photo or embroidered blocks. Photos were imported from my personal collection, embroidery patterns came from the EQ Library.
Borders are 1 inch, 2 inch and 3 inches wide
