Designed for clubEQ, July, 2013: Modern Quilt!

This quilt offers the following design criteria characteristic of a Modern Quilt: high contrast, graphic areas of solid color, minimalism, expansive negative space, alternate grid work, and improvisational piecing. “Modern traditionalism” also applies here, as the quilt was designed as a horizontal layout with half-square triangle blocks providing the geometric design. The block outlines are missing from the qult display here because they were colored white with the Swap Thread tool. Quilting grid lines were drawn in EasyDraw and Serendipity > Cut and Flip or Kaleidoscope.
