What I really wanted to do was draw a half-tone portrait of Lena Horne (I’ve been humming ‘Stormy Weather’ since this challenge was issued). I even got a nifty picture off the internet to trace. But conventional quilts distracted me.

This quilt uses the blocks “Weathervane” and “Weathervane Variation” from EQ’s library. The border blocks are “Chevrons” with a corner block I drew myself.
