To celebrate the release of Quiltmaker Quilting Designs: Volume 7, we’re pairing together with Quiltmaker magazine to offer a contest. If you win, this is the first time your virtual quilt will ever make itself! Design your quilt in Electric Quilt 6 and incorporate quilting designs from any of the Quilting Designs: The Quiltmaker Collection CDs, Vol. 1-7. Designs will be judged on originality and the creative interpretation of the quilting designs. You can use any technique (pieced, foundation pieced, or appliqué) to design the quilt. Pattern elements must fit on 1–2 magazine pages, 8.5” x 11”. Use any stencils from any volume of the Quiltmaker Collection CDs. Any size quilt is welcome. In EQ, use solid colors only. Please do not color the quilt with fabrics. Using the Set Thread tool to color the stencils is optional. Submissions will be accepted October 27 – December 1, 2009. You can

I wanted to show you another project made by Carol Skrube who was the designer of a project in last week’s blog titled Matilda MacElroy and Mary. She also made and presented us an EQ The Mouse Quilt at Houston. Carol designed it with the same mice she used for her story book quilt. And you might recognize a few faces as well. In the project you see Dean, Andrea, EQ teacher Barb Vlack, and Penny McMorris all watching over EQ the Mouse and his friend Jean Claude. Adorable. Thank you Carol!
Dear Jane Glass Quilt by Scott Baddley
Posted 11-16-2009 by Sarah | Posted in: Uncategorized
How beautiful is this Dear Jane glass piece?! This masterpiece was created by self proclaimed “Maniac Janiac” Scott Baddley. The pieces were all hand made by Scott. The quilt 1/2 scale, so it 40×40″ and weighs well over 100 pounds. It’s currently adhered to the table top in his home but he wants to have it framed out and hung on the wall. Either way, we think it’s beautiful and wanted to share some photos of his work! See more photos of Scott’s Dear Jane Glass Quilt.
