Patriotic Rows began as a fun way to use patriotic border fabric gifted to me from a friend. I traced the motifs from the fabric in EQ8 to make appliques then finished the design. (What a wonderful program!) As I was making the quilt, I realized that my brother was a US Naval Officer and now a veteran and decided to find a way to present it to him through QOV. After a bit of research, I mailed it to Texas where the marvelous QOV ladies presented it to him in a ceremony in his home since he is homebound. What a wonderful surprise it was for him.
