The design for this quilt was multi step. I have set sizes that I cut my RWB scraps up into. I designed some blocks on EQ8 and then began sewing them between larger projects. I designed the scrap border for the quilt using those blocks. I then sewed those blocks to the panel with a plain fabric border. The next step was to photo that completed section and the design the remaining borders to get it up to QOV size requirements. I am a Group Leader for QOV in central Florida and in addition to the quilts we make as a group in our guild, I make them on my own with my own materials. I believe in what we do. My dad served in WWII. This is in memory of him and the many stories I hear from the veterans to whom we award quilts. They light up and sometime there are tears of joy that we would do such a thing for them.
