I worked for the US Army for 33 years and after I retired, I wanted a way to display the metals/awards I received. In 2021 I designed a bargello flag wall hanging. It was popular at the local quilt shop (Quilt Corner, Sparta, WI) and I was asked to teach classes for it. While teaching the class in 2022, a friend of mine called asking for a patriotic/veteran quilt for a local museum to honor one of her relatives who served. I simply modified the wall hanging to make it the size of a lap quilt. Since then, I have made modest modifications, so it meets the QOV guidelines. I am scheduling classes to teach this version of the bargello flag.
