This month’s block: Nine-Patch Baskets

Where to find it: 02 Contemporary Pieced > Baskets (Contemporary)

Design ideas to get you started

This month I decided to challenge myself to use the same simple layout for both my quilts and see how different I could make the two look, using the same set of fabrics. The fabrics are from three Art Gallery Fabrics collections: Duval by Suzy Quilts, Road to Round Top by Elizabeth Chappell, and Signature Pure Solids by Suzy Quilts. All three are included in the newest EQ Stash Online 2023 Download 02 add-on for EQ. The quilt is a 4 x 4 horizontal layout with two borders.

Just because this block comes from the Baskets category doesn’t mean you have to color the blocks so they look like baskets! There are lots of possibilities to play with in this block.

What would you design with the Nine-Patch Baskets block? Post a quilt or two in the comments below. It can be as simple or as complex as you’d like (it just has to use the featured block!).
