Some of you may remember our interview last fall with Doug Leko. He’s a junior in High School and already has a budding pattern business at www.antlerquiltdesign.com. Woohoo – go Doug!
Well, I was perusing the latest issue of Quiltmaker magazine and saw Doug’s smiling face next to his newest quilt! “Rhapsody in Bloom” is a great intermediate pattern with rich colors, and fun secondary designs.
When I asked Doug if he designed the quilt in EQ, he said: “Of Course it was designed in EQ 7 which is the BEST EVER!!!!!!”
The pattern for “Rhapsody in Bloom” is available on pages 42-45 of the March/April 2011 issue of Quiltmaker magazine on newsstands now.

When I saw that quilt, I immediately gathered up some fabric and stashed it together with the pattern for a future quilt. I was amazed that this young man shows so much talent and potential.

I know what you mean Jocelyn. I don’t remember what I was doing when I was 17, but I certainly wasn’t being published already!
