The challenge of Haiku is to convey meaning and imagery in such a short form. Possible subjects of EQ-Haiku: quilts, EQ, software, computers, sewing.

“Speaking of haiku… we got the idea from Do You EQ? Artist Gyleen Fitzgerald who runs haiku contests all the time. One of Gyleen’s other books is called In This House. There was a really cute kids patchwork project. They used Gyleen’s paper piecing house (they did raw edge) and wrote a haiku beginning with the words “in this house”. So cute.”
