I don’t have just one favorite, so I hope you don’t mind that I put two down as my favorites. (It’s like asking, which child do you love most.) So, Quiltmaker and For The Love of Quilting. But in all honesty I have to say that Quiltmaker is the one I go to the most as they have Bonnie Hunter with her scrap quilt blocks. I have a subscription to both of these and will continue till I can’t quilt any more or they stop printing them.

I loved Quilt Maker, especially when they had a machine embroidery edition. So many of my quilts have embroidery on them.

I have 6 or 7 quilt magazines that I subscribe too. I have been quilting for the last 30 or so years. I have 4 sons, 3 daughter-in-laws, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. All have quilts some two except for the last two babies. I have started quilts for them but haven’t finished them yet. Arthritis is slowing me down, it is in my back so I don’t get to shop like I use to. I guess McCalls’s quilting magazine is my favorite. They are all so good except they keep showing lap quilts when I need full size quilts. Figuring out that extra row or two gets hard sometimes. Love fabrics. When down in the dumps I go to a fabric store and look at all the beautiful colors. Henri

I have had a subscription to Quilter’s Newsletter since I began quilting in the 1970′s and still read it from cover to cover. My other favorites are AQS, Machine Quilting, American Patchwork and Quilting and Quilting Arts. Each year I try to eliminate a subscription but I can’t seem to say no just yet!

I use to have EQ5 on my computer. But that computer didn’t act to well and my husband got me a new computer. We forgot to put EQ5 on it. Also had the Block Factory. It didn’t get put on the new computer either. I had a hard time using those two programs. I think I would have a much easier time now. My sons and a grandson have been teaching me how to use my computer. I am not as afraid of it now as I use to be. Henri

Machine Quilting Unlimited is an absolute inspiration to get me thinking outside my norm. I subscribed for a couple of years and covet the issues I have. Seriously considered re-subscribing, several times, but the issues pile up faster than I can sew! I have subscribed to most of the quilting magazines at one time or another. They have an idea, or-two-or-three, and I ‘CLIP OUT’ some to save for a future time. Quilt group members tend to share past issues and I often come home with a few. Dates are irrelevant; creativity doesn’t expire!

I have gone to digital simply because of space and “what to do with them after” i am finished with them. If I find one on the news stand tat interests me I buy it.

I have subscribed to quite a few magazines in the past. Quiltmaker and Fons & Porters Love of Quilting were probably my faves. And APQ. But I almost always pick up an issue of something at the store. No current subscriptions. My clipping folder is quite stuffed with faves since I downsized my magazines. There will never be enough time to start let alone finish the inspiring quilts from those magazines. I love going through those quilts probably as much as I love going through my fabric stash.

Must say that I have had subscription to nearly every quilting publication over the 40 + years I have been quilting. Every one has offered something of interest. It’s not easy to get the English version in Germany so sometimes I buy it in the Netherland (it is nearby to where I live) and translate it from Dutch to German with a dictionary. I have subscriptions to Modern Quilts Unlimited and Machine Quilting Unlimited but there are so many more on my wish list like Missouri Star Quilt Block Magazine, American Quilter, Love of Quilting. I have a subscription to The Quilt Show and I watch every new tutorial on Missouri Star Quilt Company that comes out. Jenny makes everything look so quick and easy.

I enjoy looking at Quilting Arts but no longer subscribe. I used to subscribe to a few quilting magazines and found it was causing my “I wanna make that!” list to get longer and longer, but not lengthen the day. The only art related magazine I get now is Cloth, Paper, Scissors.

I’ve had a subscription to Quilter’s Newlsetter for years-it keeps me current on news in the quilting world, and showcases current trends and qu8ilt techniques and tools. I like to keep Fon’s and Porter’s Love of Quilting for it’s many quilts of all sizes. There a lots of others I check in with periodically to see what’s up!

I like but have not subscribed to Easy Quilts and Quilting Quickly. I love Missouri Star Quilt Co.’s Block Magazine. I usually purchase these as a bundle at the end of the year.

My favorite magazine is Quiltmania. It is a rich feast for the eyes published in France. The English version has finally become available for subscription here in the US. As soon as it did, I subscribed. It is pricey but worth it. The pictures are super and there are a few patterns as well.with a decidedly different flavor than those in American magazines.

I really love all the quilting magazines, but my favorite would have to be Quilter’s Newsletter. It’s what got me started quilting. I picked up a copy of Quilter’s Newsletter in a bookstore 20 years ago, and was instantly hooked on quilting. I need to renew my subscription…it’s about to expire. Thanks for the chance to win. It’s an convenient way for my husband to go shopping, and I reap the wonderful eye-candy and inspiration. I’m glad I did not have to say which was my favorite, because I like all of them.

I currently subscribe to American Quilter, Love of Quilting, Quiltmaker, McCalls and Quilters World!! My longtime favorite has been Love of Quilting for all their “doable ” patterns and cutting/sewing techniques they show. I’m new to Quilters World but finding lots of good things. I look forward to each new issue of all my subscriptions. I also have EQ7 and wish they had a magazine of teaching techniques to help fulfill the use of the program.

I have had subscriptions to many of them, but don’t have any currently. The favorite one varies – it used to be Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine, but I find it that different months I like different magazines the best. The last one that I purchased from a bookstore was the latest issue of Machine Quilting Unlimited. In fact, that has been the magazine I have bought two times in the row. Although subscriptions would save you money, I enjoy the freedom from selecting from a variety of choices each time I’m in need of some inspiration.

Fons and Porter and I subscribed to QNNTV.com for all their online quilting videos.
I don’t collect magazines as they pile up and are hard to store…all my quilting and sewing subscriptions are electronic and in PDF format.
I currently have subscriptions to Quilts and More, Quilting for YOU, Quilting Arts, Quilt NOW, Quilt Sampler, Quilting Daily. Each are saved by year and month in folders and all PDFs are text searchable…so finding that article or project for the “I remember reading that somewhere……” is much easier in a computer.

I like the Quilt Pattern Magazine and Quiltmakers Newsletter Magazine. I have a subscription to the first as I test patterns for them. As for the second one, I can rarely find it or many other quilt magazines in the stores around me, and don’t like subscribing to something that I can’t see. Some mags have had no patterns I would like to try and have been filled with ads and nothing of interest.
Haven’t won anything in forever, so thought I would at least try this since I have had EQ for many years now.

American Patchwork and Quilting- Better Homes and Gardens. Sadly no I do not have a subscription – I have had issues with mail delivery – USUP around here doesn’t always get it right on delivering magazines of any type – Complaints didn’t work so I head to my favorite shop which is even more wonderful than a subscription could give since I have found Fons and Porter issues too. love them both – but have more of the American Patchwork and Quilting.

Although they started out years ago being rather ‘ho-hum traditional’, Fons and Porters Love of Quilting is probably the best at covering new and old. I also like Quilters Newsletter and the AQS magazine – nice to see what the ‘big girls’ are doing. I get digital subscriptions.

I get American Quilter with my AQS membership, but it’s a more high class, arty magazine with less doable projects. Also sub to AQS, Cloth Paper Scissors, F&P Love of Quilting, Quilter’s Club of America (Easy Quilts), McCalls Quilting and Quick Quilts, and Quiltmaker. Grab Sew Somerset, Art Quilting Studio, and BLOCK when possible. Share all these with my dear daughter, who has caught the bug and finished her first quilt recently.

My husband thinks I subscribe to all the quilt magazines; it is only about 80% of them. The list includes McCall’s, American Patchwork & Quilting, Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting, Quick Quilting, Quilters Newsletter, Quilting Arts, the Block Magazine – and that is just off the top of my head. I also like New Zealand and Australia quilt magazines when I can get hold of them. Modern Quilting may be next on my list of new subscriptions.

My overall favorite magazine is American Patchwork and Quilting. I have a subscription to it and also to Love of Quilting. A decided to let McCall’s Quilting lapse this year to try Quilter’s Newsletter, so currently have 3 subscriptions. Waiting in the wings for another year is Primitive Quilts! I also subscribe to The Quilt Show which I find very informative and enjoyable. Riley Blake fabrics are fabulous. Would love to have them!

I love Fons and Porter Quilting Magazines. I subscribe to that exclusively. However, I visit my Barnes and Noble Stores every month to see what others are offering and usually buy two or three other magazines by various companies. Would love to see EQ info in an EQ magazine, even if it is only published quarterly or bi-annually.

I’ve been getting Fons and Porter Love of Quilting for years! I pick up issues of Quilty once in a while to give to my daughter, hoping it will someday inspire her to want to sew! I also love (and subscribe to) Quiltmaker. I recently started a subscription to AQS’s American Quilter, just one issue so far! I’ve been quilting since around 1979, love traditional blocks and just getting interested in more modern, and pictorial quilts. I love Riley Blake designs!

I receive the American Quilter as part of my membership in the American Quilters Society. In addition, part of my daugter-in-law’s Christmas present every year is a subscription to Quiltmaker.

Machine Quilting Unlimited is my new favorite magazine, because I feel each issue has good quilting ideas and innovative projects. I have been a subscriber for just about a year and renewed early. American Patchwork and Quilting is one of my most favorite.
The quilts are my style and I really like the articles.
I go to Barnes and Noble to pick out my magazine because it is a fun outing, and sometimes I pick up some others that appeal to me. I get AQS in the mail. That is a fun treat.

My favorite magazine is Block from the Missouri Star Quilt Co. because not only do I get wonderful patterns, I can also access a video tutorial for free. Yes, I most certainly have a subscription to the magazine.

I do not subscribe, but always pick up my issue of BLOCK (by Missouri Star Quilt Co.) at my local quilt store! It is more like a book than a magazine, so I love that I can keep it on my shelf next to my pattern books!

I love Machine Quilting Unlimited- has lots of good tips for domestic machine quilting as well as longarm quilting which is what I do- have subscribed to it since the beginning.

I love McCall’s Quick Quilt and yes I subscribe and I love Quiltmaker and of course I subscribe and I just subscribed to Modern Quilting! I love to see all the quilts – they give me ideas to make my own. I have a hard time just following a pattern – I like to add my own touch! But I love the inspiration I get from reading the magazines.

McCall’s Quilting is one that I like. I do not have a subscription but look at it online now and then. I have had subscriptions to other quilt magazines in the past, but it seems that many of the quilts are not ones that I would actually make.

I loved Quilty magazine when they were still publishing. As a beginner quilter, it provide simple and straightforward directions. For the most part, I find inspiration from following fellow quilters on Instagram.

Honestly I don’t buy or subscribe anymore. If there is a quilt on the cover of a magazine that I like, I may buy it. With the internet, Pinterest in particular, I find it much easier to search for quilts I may like, and then go back and find it when I need it, rather than flicking through pages of many magazines trying to remember where I saw “the” quilt.

Quitler Newsletter, I subscrbe as it is difficult to find in Australian newsagents. I love that fabric. I’m searching for old looking fabric as a fellow scientist has asked me to repair 2 quilts of hers which are 150 years old, originally from the US.
