This quilt was designed for the Quiltmaker “Batik Remix” contest, in which contestants re-interpreted a pattern published in Quiltmaker in Robert Kaufman’s Artisan Batiks. After purchasing the fabrics, I realized I had the colors of an underwater environment and a coral reef–so the quilting motifs are all ocean-related. The quilt is currently on tour with the contest.
