The Canadian Province of Manitoba lies at the longitudinal centre of Canada. Its capital is the city of Winnipeg, represented in this quilt row by the Manitoba Legislative building. Its provincial flower is the Pasque Flower or Prairie Crocus and its tree is the White Spruce. Its provincial animal is the wild Bison and its bird, the Great Grey Owl. In this row quilt the maple leaf blocks at each end of the row represent Canada and the three centre blocks show the provincial symbols and a map outline of Manitoba.
