The National Quilt Museum in Paducah has an annual contest titled New Quilts from an Old Favorites, and the theme for 2016 is Flying Geese. Since the quilt is due November 1, 2015, it isn’t too early to try a new design with those ubiquitous Flying Geese. Distort them, curve them, fly them, float them. They don’t even have to be the traditional Flying Geese pattern of triangles, but the design does have to relate to the title.
