A note from Dean & Penny: “We send holiday greetings and wishes for peace and happiness this coming New Year to our EQ users all over the world! We thought we’d say it with “The Shirts,” because these are blocks Dean drew for an early version of EQ so many years ago. We don’t recall seeing anyone actually ever use these blocks, but we love them just the same and think they just might inspire a nice little quilt done up in fun fabric prints.” – Dean Neumann and Penny McMorris Download “The Christmas Shirts” This concludes our EQ Christmas Countdown, we hope you’ve enjoyed the free EQ7 projects! Happy Holidays to you and yours!

A note from Bea: “I wanted to create a big “Jesus” in the middle of a table runner and then added an auto border and found the vine border and thought of the John 15:5 bible verse and added that on layer 2. I kept the colors in red and green Christmas colors.” -Bea Lee Download “Jesus” Table Runner Catch up with Bea >>

A note from Linda: “Quilters who use Inklingo know that you don’t have to be an expert quilter with advanced skills to sew a stunning  Double Wedding Ring quilt. Print the cutting and stitching lines on fabric with your ordinary Inkjet, rotary cut, and piece by sewing along the printed lines. Christmas Rings can be sewn by hand OR by machine. Some quilters will want to sew some seams by hand when they need something portable and sew the rest by machine. When we mix hand and machine piecing in a quilt, we call it an Inklingo hybrid.” -Linda Franz Giveaways and freebies: 1. Visit the All About Inklingo blog and submit a comment to be entered for a $50 Inklingo gift certificate AND free fabric from Northcott! 2. The Inklingo Double Wedding Design Book will be free to everyone today through December 31st!  ($20 value, PDF download). Download “Inklingo

A note from Patti: “This is a quilt that I designed for this year’s Quilts From 100 Blocks, based on a block that I designed (in EQ of course) for 100 Blocks Volume 9.  I really liked the Christmas Traditions collection by Tracey Sims for Northcott, especially the cardinal border stripe, and this quilt seemed a great way to showcase it.  When I made up the quilt for the magazine, it looked just like my EQ image!” – Patti Carey Download “Christmas Traditions” Catch up with Patti >>

A note from Toby: “I used a snowman applique design that was in EQ, added the facial features and outlined the snowman to look like I put a running stitch around it. I learned a lot of things while designing this quilt since I had never done anything like it before. I thought putting it in front of the star blocks made it more interesting. It can be hung all winter instead of just during the holiday season.
