Over the last 2 years, so even before she was our amazing Ambassador, Heather designed and published more than 75 picture-quilt blocks! Of course, all of them were designed in EQ8! Since these blocks have been so popular, she put together an All-Access Pass for the collection. Heather’s goal for this year is to get friendly with Mr. Roy G. Biv! No, we don’t need to alert her husband about another guy in her life ( ), but rather, she is working her way through her stash in color order (of the rainbow) to create

EQ: Hi and welcome back to the EQ blog! Earlier this year, you told us you were headed to Bali – tell us how that was!! Alyce: Thank you! It was such a wonderful way to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the longest my husband and I have been away just us two since we’ve had kids. And seeing as my eldest just turned 10, it’s been a long time coming. While we aren’t the most touristy of tourists (preferring to check out what a local supermarket is like over a busy tourist hot spot), we did hit up a few places, including one very fancy fabric store we happened across, before jumping in the pool each

When her family moved from Australia to Chiba, Japan, it was there that she became truly passionate about turning her hobby into her career. With a primary school teaching background, Alyce discovered that the quilting industry was the perfect blend of the things she loved most – creativity, puzzles and teaching. Now living back in Melbourne, Australia, she has had patterns published in magazines around the world, writes columns and articles, self-published her first book, DIY Block Design, and continues to remain passionate
