I am so excited to introduce a new project with Electric Quilt, AccuQuilt, and Lori Miller Designs!
Since so many quilters have enjoyed my EQ8 Add-ons for AccuQuilt, the Electric Quilt Company and AccuQuilt have partnered with me to revamp my block downloads and make them official EQ products sold on both of their websites!
If you are new to my EQ8 Add-ons for Accuquilt, let me share a little about them.
Back in 2019 when I first started this adventure, I just wanted to have my own library of blocks in EQ8 that could be easily cut out with AccuQuilt dies. I loved designing my own quilts and EQ8 made it so helpful to see my fabric choices. When I combined my quilt designs with the accuracy and time saving of cutting out the pieces with my AccuQuilt die cutting machine and dies, I was thrilled.
These block libraries were so convenient to use, I wanted to share them with other quilters and started offering them to all of you and thankfully, you became fans too.
Now you have even more terrific reasons to add these to your collection! With this partnership, the original GO! Qube products have been completely revamped and re-released in a new format.
- They are easier to use as the blocks will install directly into your EQ8 Block Library
- PDF Resources are included, and they install into your My EQ8 > Documentation folder so they are easy to find
- There is a new detailed guide (PDF) on how to use the blocks with your EQ software and how to use them with any size GO! Qube
- Block notecards now include helpful tips and information for the blocks
- Many of the libraries will come with quilt designs included for inspiration and to spark your creativity
- And EQ’s fantastic tech support is free with your purchase so if you need any help, just call, email, or live chat with them!
The first product will be available on October 21, 2024. It is the GO! Qube Mix & Match Plus Corners and Angles featuring 216 library blocks.
If you haven’t seen or already signed up, one lucky person is going to win a copy of this first release, but the contest closes tonight, October 7, 2024 at 11:59 ET, so check out the Giveaway post to enter – good luck!
Later in November we will release 5 additional GO! Qube Add-ons, followed with the AccuQuilt Block on Board (BOB) libraries coming in 2025.
Stay tuned for these new products to be released at ElectricQuilt.com and AccuQuilt.com!

Hi Patty, Look for an email from me, but depending where you purchased the original add-ons from (either Lori’s Etsy shop or AccuQuilt), you can reach out to find out promotional offers for the new versions. Here’s a link to a FAQ and its answer: https://electricquilt.com/online-shop/accuquilt-go-qube-mix-match-plus-corners-and-angles/#tab-FAQ

An early adopter, I have several dozen AccuQuilt dies. I love using them!

All I can say is, it’s about time! This is a win-win-win for Electric Quilt, for AccuQuilt, and especially for both companies’ customers. I wish AccuQuilt and EQ could work out a similar arrangement with some of the BOB dies etc. I would use my AccuQuilt dies more (and purchase more of them!) if I didn’t have to draft blocks in EQ to match my dies, or settle for using similar but not identical blocks from the EQ library to plan my quilts. And I use EQ8 for just about every quilt, because I am no longer willing to gamble with my time and my fabric dollars on ideas that look fantastic in my mind but fall short of my expectations once I’ve made enough blocks to see what it’s actually going to look like.

I have Accuquilt Qube system in 4 sizes and have greatly enjoyed them over the years. Now to be able to design with them effortlessly with the EQ8 it seems it cannot get better. So, I puchased the EQ8 very recently. I merely have to adjust to a system which ffor me is going to be a challenge, to say the least. I am not the most computer literate user, but I will use it.

I hope an Instruction Book will be available soon. (I am a little slow on the learning process) I would love to have a lesson/information book to refer to. All the current books available are a huge help!

I am still learning on EQ8. I added the Accuquilt GO! Add on along with the angles and corners. I have to say that I am disappointed in that I have to draw my own individual block segments to make the quilt blocks. This really does not save me any time. I was hoping that there would be block segments to chose from, like a half square triangle block, a half rectangle, simple square, flying goose block, etc. if I have to draw these pieces myself, what’s the point in having this program? I hope that this gets re-vamped as I’m sure that I am not alone in feeling this way.
