I often make African inspired quilts and have a challenging time designing with the fabrics installed in EQ8 as I “try” to visualize how the design will look with African fabric. The African inspired fabrics in EQ8 are very limited; there are so many different designs & patterns that are out in the world! Being able to beautifully import my own fabric stash of African fabric would absolutely be beneficial.

I plan to use the new booklet to become proficient and shate my knowledge with a local family owned fabric store run by 4 generations of women. I muddled my way thru EQ7 to design 9 panels for my 1st build a quilt class, and it saved me time and fabric. I printed the design panels and put that in the ziplock bags I had the cut pieces in. Really kept me organized and on track.

I’m new to quilting but I’m loving every minute of it. I bought the EQ8 recently and bought the help books already, this would be great to help me fine tune my fabric uploads. My first attempts were very time consuming, and I spent a lot of time on YouTube trying to figure it out.

I have collected a fabric stash starting about 1 year ago, (about the same time I wanted to purchase EQ8). Finances and a kidney transplant surgery held me back from purchase. I want to make quilts for adults receiving a kidney transplant at UC Davis in Sacramento. CA. I could put my entire stash into EQ8 and play!!! Additionally, my husband has hand dyed fabric, and I would take his fabrics and see what shapes / pieces are to my ability and liking them before I decide.
Thank you,
Vicki

Sometimes I also utilize fabric they have, quilt blocks, etc. Being able to import these items to design unique memory quilts for my customers would be so helpful. I have been collecting fabric for over 40 years and have also all of the stash programs from the very beginning, but I have found that some of my most delightful fabrics are not in any of the collections. This booklet would make “using” these fabrics so much easier to incorporate in my designs and blocks with clear instructions. I have some fabrics that my mother brought back from Indonesia in 1951 and it would be wonderful to bring these fabrics alive in my projects. Thank you EQ for all that you do to make creative sewing all that wonderful.

I am a new user of the EQ8 system, just a month into the program. I am super excited about all the possible things that can be done, but I am bewildered at how to do them all. I have no idea how to scan the fabrics in, and this book is certainly a prayer answered as to how I was to get answers about this skill. Hopefully, my copy of the book will be arriving soon so that I can continue with my lessons. I am so excited with all this knowledge and learning how to apply it to the quilts I am making. I am trying to convert some of the patterns from conventional piecing to paper piecing methods and the scanning in of the correct fabrics will help me identify the correct pieces and units much easier.
Thank you for offering this book with this skill to help the public. It is certainly coming on the scene at the perfect time for me.

I’d love to have the booklet to use for greater help learning how to upload my own fabrics & panels. I’ve been struggling with that technique since I first started using EQ7 and just got in the habit of using my imagination instead!
I love EQ8 & use it all the time. While I’m not an expert, I find it invaluable for designing my quilts, buying the correct yardage, printing paper piecing patterns & templates. Just can’t say enough about the books, additional software & resources.
I’m already on the mailing too!

Although I have imported a few of my fabrics into EQ, I would really benefit from using this book to import my entire fabric collection as I design new quilts. I am already subscribed to the mailing list.

Thank you for creating this booklet. This fills my heart filled important need. It will help me create Quilts of Valor that I will be proud to give to veterans. I will finally be able to create the quilt for my veteran husband. I have the fabric I just need the help of this booklet to get me to the finish line for him. Thank you again.

I am making quilts for each of my grandkids as they graduate and want to design my own quilts to make them my own. I just purchased EQ8 and I am working through the lessons. I am also signed up for a class at my local quilt shop this month to learn how to load my fabrics into EQ8. Very excited to learn more and design.

I would love to learn how to put my stash in EQ. I would be able to access my stash for the quilts I design. It is always nice to see what your fabrics look like on a newly designed quilt. I have every EQ since the beginning. I have seen over the years how EQ has changed and now there is something new to learn. Thank you for the chance to win this book.

I always want to learn more about odd size panels and how to quickly put my fabric into EQ8 so I can see how it would look in different blocks and layouts.

I have several panels but can’t for the life of me figure out how to turn them into something. I’m hoping this book will give me the inspiration that electric quilt always seems to provide me.

This would be so very helpful & take my quilting to the next level. I love my EQ8 and enjoy making my own designs. Although I don’t feel I’m an advanced quilter, EQ8 has made my learning process so much smoother. The Deep Dive booklet would be a great addition to my resources. Thank you for the opportunity to win it.

I would love to be able to create quilts with the fabrics that I have on hand. My goal is to make quilts for all 16 of my grandchildren in the next year, using mostly fabrics that I have acquired over time. To be able to see the finished quilt before sewing it would be amazing!

At this point I am primarily making quilts for babies and children to donate. I want to be able to make joyous quilts using my pretty extensive stash.

I came across panels of deer, owl, wolf, and eagle and would love to use batik’s with them so this would be a plus in helping design with what I have available.

I have a panel that has four or five blocks on it. I want to cut it up and add additional blocks to it. This booklet looks like it would help me to achieve this.

I always struggle to picture what a design will look like in fabrics from my stash, so this would be a huge help.

I started quilting 2yrs ago and am new to EQ8. I have been thru many of the tutorials, but still learning to use the software. Would love to learn more about importing recent fabrics I’ve purchased and fabrics I recently acquired that are no longer available online.

I’d love to be able to enter more of my fabric stash into the program to use for all my future quilts. This booklet sounds like it will make that process easier.

For my last two quilt designed I imported fabric swatches from the internet for one. For the other I scanned the fabrics. I worked well, but in some kind it feels a bit complicated. I think I can get much more information how to handle and store it better.

Been looking at upgrading to EQ8 for some time but the exchange rate is awful at the moment. Would also love to be able to import the panel I’m working on. I usually just leave that area blank and figure out the edges as best I can. So, to win the upgrade and the booklet would be beyond awesome. Thanks for the opportunity.

I really want to be able to use the fabric stash I have for new quilts, and auditioning them in various patterns and combinations is important and helpful to the process. And panels, too!
