Would purchase this as well if it was not a CD – why not a USB – new laptops do not have CD slots. I need the information regarding history of blocks and the blocks would definitely make it into my quilts but no way to access

In most cases, where a PC does not have a CD (optical) drive, a direct download is your best answer.
Electric Quilt is GREAT about keeping track of your purchases, allowing you to redownload your purchased products if you change computers. Just set up your account with them, and they’ll take care of the rest. Can’t say enough good things about the customer service I have received.

I too am a dedicated Mac user and am disappointed that BlockBase needs Windows to work initially. Hope you design a version just for Macs.
