Winning Mini Scrap Quilts:

Jerriann Massey
Design: Scrappy

By Jerriann Massey. http://AnnieMcHugs.com I chose: Scrappy 20 x 20.

Louisa Robertson
Design: Scrappier

By Louisa Robertson. http://louquilts.blogspot.ca/2015/05/spring-cleaning-challenge.html Here is my Peekaboo Pinwheels quilt, my version of the Scrappier quilt layout. I had great fun playing with fabrics in Electric Quilt and discovered there were lots of pinwheels hiding in the design.

Karyn Ashley-Smith
Design: Scrappiest

By Karyn Ashley-Smith. https://projectscrapbin.wordpress.com/2015/05/29/spring-cleaning-scrap-challenge-by-eq7/ I chose the scrappiest layout. This was a ton of fun....but oh my....a lot more involved than I originally thought! Love this design....so much you can do with it! I think I'll be making one of my other designs as well!

Honorable Mentions:

Gail Taylor
Design: Scrappiest

By Gail Taylor. What a fun challenge! I chose the Scrappiest 30x30 design and once I found the spool design when I used my EQ7 program I was on a creative roll. I decided to use all my tools for the project - EQ7 for design and cutting requirements, Accuquilt Go! for some of the half sq. triangles (cut them down to 2"x2" squares after sewn), HQ16 to stitch in the ditch and Art and Stitch to design the "thread" design for spools and button design for white triangles, and finally my Pfaff embroidery machine and software to design the various "tools" blocks that alternate with the spools that represent all the tools we quilters use. This is one of the few projects that I've made for myself. I've named it "Love My Spools and Tools" and will hang it in my quilt studio.

Nancy Rowland
Design: Scrappiest

By Nancy Rowland. https://doyoueq.com/blog/2015/05/spring-cleaning-scrap-challenge/ Scrappiest 30x30. A wonderful opportunity to use small pieces of various blacks to offset the solids. Didn't make much dent in my scrap collection, though!

Jill Kofton
Design: Scrappier

By Jill Kofton. I made verston #2, Scrappier 25.5" x 25.5." My past two quilts have used only solids. So, I had a large variety of scraps to choose from. I wanted to do a play off the pinwheel feel while adding a modern twist. This I carried over to the quilt back where I did one page pinwheel in warm and color colors as a single large block on back (not pictured. The piece was bound with an orange/white houndstooth.

Anne Maundrell
Design: Scrappy

By Anne Maundrell. http://www.annemaundrelldesigns.com My version of the scrappy 20 x 20 made with some of my hand dyed fabrics left over from other projects and a bit of batik sarong fabric more than 20 years old. This was fun to do and a great opportunity to practice some free motion quilting too.

Thanks again to all the participants! Stayed tuned to the blog and sign up for our newsletters to find out about future challenges. :)
