Meredith Schroeder, president of AQS and publisher of American Quilter, chose my quilt Tapenade as the the cover quilt for our upcoming March 2012 issue. This was an unexpected honor for me, and truly a quilting dream come true.

The reason I’m sharing this with EQ is because the quilt was designed in response to an EQ challenge last year focusing on the Ohio Star block. I scanned fabrics I already owned into EQ7 and used them to design the quilt. Attached are the EQ mockup, a flat photo of the quilt, and also a PDF of the March cover. The quilt was longarm quilted by Rebecca Segura of Zeffie’s Quilts.

The pattern and complete instructions for Tapenade are in the march issue of American Quilter, which will arrive in AQS members’ mailboxes around the end of January and on newsstand by Feb. 16th.
