I decided to work with a couple of my not-so-favorite colors as a challenge to myself several years back to branch out from the colors I normally use. Stars were an easy choice for these colors–I designed an original paper-pieced star, and I manipulated a double nine-patch for the alternate blocks.

Lovely! But I love any pattern that works stars I to its design! I also like yellow and blue together, so when I saw yours, it became my favourite. Will you publish this pattern, or do you work with a design company, who will release this to the public? I love the depth of the colours in your first posting, or the one on the left. There also seems to be numerous fabrics out there with that colour combination, so I guess a few others besides myself like yellow and blues together.

This is beautiful! I love the colors, they look good together. Sometimes it is good to get out of your comfort zone with color and fabrics.
