The photo used is evidence that tide, surf and time can sculpt the land. My challenge quilt is evidence that a bit too much time can change my original design idea. I can’t place blame on surf or tide, though.
To surround the photo, I used the “Mosaic, No. 18(2)” block and a variation of the “Mosaic, No. 21″ block, both blocks altered using the “Mitered + 1/5 size” serendipity frame.

Where was this photo taken? It is so interesting – and I like the way you matched its unusual colors in the pieced blocks surrounding the photo.
I too often find that the design I end with is quite different from the one I start with – one of the great pleasures in using the EQ software
