A quilt similar in style of to “Maple Leaf Portraits 1″, but with maple leaf blocks set straight in the framed blocks. The blocks are much larger, as the maple leaf blocks are set with corner triangles. Although the rotary cutting instructions don’t iclude all pieces, the centre maple leaf can be made (mostly) with 2-1/2″ finished squares and HSTs. I’ve been collecting various red fabrics, so this may be my next quilt for Quilts of Valour, Canada.
