This was a lot of fun. I was reminded that we could set blocks into rhomboid shapes by accidently dropping a block into the roof of a house block. This led to real fun: I drew a shape that might be the base for a sampler setting. I drew it with six stripes and then I used blocks that divided into six parts.

All the blocks in the rhomboid are straight from the EQ library. They are, left to right, top to bottom: ‘All Hallows’; ‘Single Irish Chain’; ‘Summer Winds’; ‘Road to California’; ‘Wyoming Valley’; ‘Apple Pie’; ‘Oatmeal Raison Cookies’; ‘Rocky Road to California’; and ‘Aunt Dinah’.
