Designed for the clubEQ challenge of August, 2014: Change borders!
A birthdate that is the Fourth of July begs for red-white-and-blue in a quilt! The border is simple and mitered with a rotation of the striped fabric for the mitered corners. The layout is Horizontal Strip with the block merged into a Diamond in Square block to put it on point. Strips in the Horizontal Strip quilt were off set every other row to get the zig zag look.
