Posted 03-15-2013 by Jenny | Posted in: Block 11 BlockBase Sew Along

Link up time once again- let’s see those #2088 blocks! I saw lots of fun variations in this block. The way I colored it above made me think of little houses going around a square. To Link Up Your Photo Scroll down to the comment form at the end of this post. Fill in your info and make sure you select an image for your comment (this will be the photo of your block). If you have a blog, make sure to add your site too. If you wrote a post for this block, please link directly to that post. Let’s visit each others’ blogs and all get to know each other! Modern Baby Quilt

Posted 03-11-2013 by Heidi | Posted in: Heidi Finds

Look at this adorable modern baby quilt! It would make an adorable wall-hanging in a nursery and a super sweet keepsake. Here is one I made in EQ7. It’s a horizontal strip quilt with a pieced block strip style. Every line has a different number of blocks and different widths. On Layer 2 I used the Set Applique Text tool  to add  “a.m.”, “lbs.”, “oz.”, and “in.” onto the quilt top. You can download the EQ7 project here. Once you personalize a quilt you could print it out on EQ Printables and make a pillow, or just print it on paper and frame it. If this inspires you to make something, let us know! Email photos to Heidi@electricquilt.com.

EQ Quilt from Linda Erickson

Posted 03-08-2013 by Sarah | Posted in: User Spotlight

One of our long time EQ users, Linda Erickson, emailed us a photo of an EQ designed quilt she entered in a contest and took 2nd place! Linda originally won a set of AccuQuilt GO! heart appliqués from Marjorie Busby’s blog that initially started the creation of this quilt. We just love the fresh colors and mix of brights and pastels here. Thanks for sharing your work with us, Linda and congrats on the award! St. Patrick’s Day is coming. The internet has so many cute ideas for crafts. EverythingEtsy.com has a list of 101 handmade St. Patrick’s Day crafts. I’m showing a few, but there are so many and they have some really great ideas. You could print these out on EQ Printables and make pillows…or print them out on EQ Peel & Stick and stick them anywhere! You can download an EQ7 shamrock blocks here. Print out a large shamrock template and use it to make a  shirt ( I love this heart cut out, so adorable). Or, you can use small a shamrock  make a barrette. In EQ7 you can print whatever size you’d like to make decorations, garland out of a streamer, bean bags (maybe for a game of tossing them into a bucket of gold?) or whatever else you can think of. You could also print out these designs onto
