We’re coming to the end of another school year. Here’s a quick little gift you can sew up in an evening to show your teacher how much you appreciate all she/he has done over the past year. This little apple bookmark slides over the corner of a page to keep your place for that light summer reading!

This is a great example of how you can take a block from the Block Library and make a few tweaks to create your own project. I started with the Apple block from 03 Foundation Pieced > Fruits and Vegetables.
I selected all the lines of the block, rotated them 45 degrees, and then resized it to fit in the top-right half of the block.
If a block from the library isn’t quite what you’re looking for, don’t be afraid to take it to the Block Worktable and adjust it yourself!

The apple bookmark is adorable! I have made the fabric corner bookmarks before using charms and fussy cutting squares and they work great. Thanks for the pattern.

That is the best idea for a book mark I have seen ever. I like it because you won’t ever lose your place.

A pretty applique would be nice, too. Or, use a piece of muslin and let your child color an apple, heat set and make the corner bookmark.
