|Do you EQ? Designer and Author, Nancy Rink does.
She uses EQ to help her design prize-winning, magazine-cover quilts.Nancy is a licensed designer with Marcus Fabrics, currently working on her fourth fabric collection. She has also designed many block-of-the-month quilts for Marcus Fabrics, including the popular Amish With a Twist series, all of which were created using EQ. Nancy has co-authored two books with her husband Oliver, both published by Kansas City Star. They are Away From Home: Quilts Inspired by the Lowell Factory Girls (2012) and El Camino Real: Quilts Inspired by Early California History (2014). She is also the author of City Blocks and Quilts to Warm Today’s Home, both published by Leisure Arts.“Electric Quilt is my number one design tool when it comes to creating a fabric collection. When I am working on a new line, I import my “swatches” into a quilt concept so I can see how they work together. This allows me to look at color, contrast, and scale in the context of an actual project that will eventually be made once the digital “swatch” becomes fabric.” EQ allows me to see endless color and design options before I even cut a piece of fabric. Electric Quilt is definitely a must have for quilters.”- Nancy RinkCatch up with Nancy:
